BRAND IDENTITY • STUDENT PROJECT
NuWay Health Coaching
This project was a complete brand package that was created for start-up health coaching company, NuWay.
NuWay is a company set up by my sister, and was my first client design project.
It was completed as part of my BA Media Production Graduate Project. It included a brand guidelines document, a website, short promotional video, brand photography, social media content, a free infographic resource, welcome email template, and business card designs.
Since then, I've continued to support her as she's grown NuWay, and as my design skills and understanding have developed.
Role: Art Director, Graphic and UI Designer, Video Editor, Project & Client Management

Challenges
-
Brand new start-up.
-
Complete brand package required ready for their launch.
-
Brand identity needed to be approachable, bright and accessible for everyone.
-
Future-proof so it can be adapted as the company grows and develops, whilst still communicating the core brand purpose.
Solution
-
In-depth discovery and research phase - we worked together to effectively clarify and communicate the key messages and values. This research was frequently referenced and updated as the start-up evolved during the process.
-
Worked closely with the client - a constant stream of communication, including weekly catch-ups, ensured the client was kept in the loop throughout to create a brand identity that she felt strongly conveyed her brand.
-
I provided a full brand package - including logo, brand guidelines, website, a 'freebie' resource, promotional video and supporting assets. I have also ensured to provide continuing support with extra resources and graphics for social posts.

Key Learnings
-
Research is essential - an in-depth discovery phase allowed for full comprehension of NuWay's core values and mission statement. This ensured that the right message was communicated to NuWay's potential clients.
-
Don't be precious - as a start-up, NuWay's vision was still evolving, so myself and the client went through many iterations to come up with an identity that felt future-proof. However, I am still supporting the client to ensure the identity is continuously relevant.
-
Feedback provides valuable insight into how clients see and use your product - questionnaires, interviews and other forms of feedback offered another point of view and highlighted things that previously went unnoticed.
Team & Resources
-
The Adobe Creative Cloud (mainly Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and InDesign) was used for the various design assets.
-
The website was produced on Wix to allow the client autonomy and control over future updates to copy and images.
-
I was assisted throughout this process by people on my course at Bournemouth University as a part of our final Graduate Projects - Lily Clelland and Abbie Toynton assisted with filming the promotional video, and Jamie De Vivo and Bolly Phachaya Methakittiworakun provided essential marketing advice and UX support.

Testimonial
"Amy is a hard-working, committed and passionate individual who has an exceptional eye for detail and maintains very high standards in all that she does.
She is very creative, dynamic and flexible and was able to accurately express the message of my business in her work in a way that was elegant, professional and in keeping with the briefing we had discussed at the beginning of our time working together.
She is patient and compassionate in her approach and took the time to explain concepts and ideas to me to help me understand the reasoning behind creative decisions during the project which reinforced my confidence in her abilities and skills to create a fantastic piece of work.
Amy is highly organised, punctual and was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Amy! "
